The Beacon Road Bike Path was one of many Active Transport projects announced for funding by the Federal Government’s Department of infrastructure just before the recent Federal Election. The $515,000 (or $550,000 depending on who is telling it) is for a 320m stretch of protected bike lane that will run from Williamstown Road (and the new pedestrian crossing that will be one day installed) and connect to the Beacon Cove Bike Path.
